Wild Elephants Attack Press Vehicles
A Countrywide Elephant Census was conducted last week around the country, with Minneriya National Park taking center stage. Whilst all National Parks were closed to the public to carry out this counting of wild Elephants, the press was invited to witness and cover this rare exercise. Some vehicles of journalists got too close to the "Gathering" at Minneriya, and were attacked and chased by a few aggravated bull elephants.
Press freedom of the wild ass obviously did not go well with these elephants and hence an intense charge took place. Here's what happened.

Wildlife is Wild. Do not get too close. More than giving them space, give yourself space to prevent this from happening.
Wildlife must be enjoyed from afar, observing their habitual behaviour and enjoying the way nature is presented. Its not like in a zoo or circus, where the animals are restrained.
